(Updated, December 2024: Sky Levels Visual Novel is currently on hold as I focus on my main project, Lost Anomaly, launching on Steam. For now, I’ll continue working on the Webtoon only as a hobby whenever I can. It’s a fun way to improve my skills and explore new ideas. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy creating it! Follow me on BlueSky for more updates.)

Sky Levels presents the narrative in 2 different modes:
  • Visual Novel
  • Webtoon

Series estimated to have 3 seasons:

  • Season 1 - The Anomales
    • Ep 1 - Drifting Away
    • ...
    • Ep 14 - Dark Train
    • ...
    • Ep 30 - Underlights City
    • Ep 33 - Good Company
    • Ep 35 - Home Found
    • ...
    • Ep 42 - Hoverboarding
    • ...
    • Ep 90 - Until Dark
    • Ep ~100 - Anomales Team
    • Ep ~140 - Tactical Strike
    • Ep ~160 - Source Control

Season 2, "The Rise of Civilization"
Season 3, "The Unknown Hunter"

(Early) Development Stage:

  • Version:  0.0.1.5
  • Executable:  Short version for testing purposes
  • Progress / Updates:  Very early stages, with only the first chapter roughly 1% completed and many features still missing. Check out my social media:
  • Support:  If you like what you see, your support would mean a lot and be greatly appreciated. You can leave a review, support me on Patreon (Coming Soon), or donate directly here on Itch.
  • Testing:  Visual Novel can be played on Desktop, only Windows for now... the test version contains only 10 to 15 minutes of gameplay and serves as a preview of Episode ~80.  The 3D exploration mechanic is already available at the end of the episode. I'm still working on the 3D models, coding, soundtracks, narrative, and other elements. Apologies in advance regarding the writing.
  • Save File Notice: Save files may become incompatible with future updates. However, a system will be implemented to allow you to start from the latest updated scene.
  • Narrative: Main story is planned to include 3 chapters with several episodes. As the game is in its early development phase, the story may change and evolve over time.  Also, the narrative is linear, which means there's no special or different routes.
  • No Dialogue Rewind: Unlike typical visual novels, for now, this game won't allow going back in dialogue due to the  integration of 3D exploration, puzzles, and an inventory system. Nonetheless, I'm planning to implement this feature in the future.
  • Game Size: Although this test version contains only a few minutes of gameplay, the large size of the game is due to the inclusion of Surface and Environment Textures, Audio Files, 3D Models, and Others, that are not yet utilized.
  • Game Optimization: Each VN image ranges from 100 to 200 KB. Due to the large number of images in the game, all VN images are loaded and read in real-time, rather than being stored in GPU memory.

System Requirements:

  • Minimum
    • OS: Windows 10 or Greater
    • DirectX Version: 12
    • Storage: 500 Mb
    • RAM: 2 GB Memory
    • GPU: (Untested)
    • CPU: (Untested)

Related Game (you might like):

I'm also working on another game, Lost Anomaly, set in the same universe. It’s a cooperative survival first-person game, in which the player plays as a robot, that will provide further details regarding the first season of Sky Levels.

Looks interesting so far, explained the world and the MC well in just the intro demo alone! Though the MC does look a bit uncanny, like Scott Cawthon's furry character's which led to him making FNAF, and his feet look very spaghettified. But it overall looks great, including the aesthetic and atmosphere, and I also love the 3D exploration mechanic. Makes it unique compared to other VNs. Can't wait to see more :D

I’m really glad you like it, thank you so much for the feedback!  I’m still refining the characters and other details. The main character’s material settings and lighting definitely need improvement to make it less uncanny. It’s a challenge, but I love challenges, and I’m confident I’ll overcome this one!  Let’s see what the future holds!  :D

When picking up the hoverboard in the bedroom scene the digital clock says 07:00 AM (Don't know if it's intentional or accidental). I know this is in early development, but just wanted to let you know. Also from what I've seen so far the game is art is good, I hope it goes well development wise, not many 3D VNs out there!

The digital clock showing that time was indeed an accident, and I'll make sure to fix it. Thank you so much for pointing that out!  To be honest, I completely missed it since I’m working on so many scenes at the same time (including other games). Also, thanks so much for your feedback, it really means a lot to me! :D  It's encouraging to know that this game could have the potential to be a good visual novel.

Thank you so much! I'm happy to hear that, and you've definitely put a smile on my face!  :D
